Scott’s career began upon graduation from Providence College in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has spanned audit experience with an international firm and 30+ years of senior leadership positions within major Rhode Island healthcare institutions while also building a practice providing tax preparation, accounting, and financial management consulting to a variety of clients across the country.

 

He founded the firm in 2014 and takes pride in delivering comprehensive, high-quality service in a pleasant, client-focused manner. Whether providing ongoing bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting support, tax planning and preparation or advising on financial operations to start-up and established organizations, client satisfaction is a major point of focus. “I see my firm’s role as a partner to the client and routinely part of a team that can include experts in fields of insurance, financial planning, legal, and banking, to name a few.”

 

Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the RI Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been and hopes to continue to be active on Boards for community organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership RI (Upsilon 2000) and former Board Chair of the organization. He currently serves as Vice President for the Cumberland Youth Activities Council, Director on the FRIENDs Way board and is a member of the Cumberland OPEB and Cumberland Pension Board. Previous boards include the Cumberland Youth Soccer Association, The Wolf School, Mount Saint Charles Academy, and the Stadium Theatre Foundation. Scott, and his wife, Charlene, have resided in Cumberland since 1998, raising their daughter Jackie, who is now an accomplished nurse at The Miriam Hospital.

 

When not working, Scott enjoys cooking, cycling and traveling, with a trip to Italy in the works.
